On Saturday, February 4th, Snow Park Borosport, the newly opened terrain park in Borovets, hosted the first freestyle racing for the season - Borosport Big Air Open. Children up to 14 years old and teenagers up to 19 years old were allowed to take part in the competition. They competed in two disciplines – ski and snowboard. Winners were chosen among those who showed the most interesting tricks and managed to gain more scores.
Borosport Big Air Open is in conformity with the European championships and was the dress-rehearsal for all teams before leaving for their European tours.
The organizers from Borosport had prepared a lot of awards for the winners, provided by the sponsors – hotel Rila, Scott, Union, Capita.
Located in the side run of Popangelov ski run (former Yastrebets 2) in Borovets, Snow Park Borosport is the most innovative and advanced freestyle (terrain) park in Bulgaria. Built on equipment delivered by SCHEESTERN – an internationally renown German company, the park provides three levels of difficulty.
For those freestyle enthusiasts, who didn't participate in the racing, Snow Park Borosport had prepared the Jib and Pro line, which was open during the whole day.
