The long-awaited moment has come! On December 23, Saturday, Borovets will open the ski area for all ski and snowboard fans, and on Friday, the 22nd, it will warm up the season with free night skiing. The winter in the first mountain resort on the Balkans finally came with low temperatures and allowed the slopes to be prepared perfectly. Therefore, on Saturday, December 23, at 8:30 am, at the bottom station of the Yastrebets Express chair lift, the legendary Bulgarian skier Petar Popangelov and the children from the ski and snowboard clubs of Samokov will launch the first seat in the resort. They will tear apart the Borovets is Open banner with the wish for a successful season and unforgettable hours on the slopes.

The most impatient skiers and snowboarders will have the opportunity to ride on Friday night. The night skiing on December 22, Friday, will be free of charge and will give all the snow fans the chance to run first on the slopes in the Sitnyakovo center. The night skiing will start as usual at 6:00 pm, and the last ride from the bottom station of the Martinovi Baraki chair lift will be at 9:30 pm. The guests of the resort will have the chance to ski on the Sitnyakovski road, and the slopes Martinovi baraki 1, 2, 3 and 4, Rila, Iglika and Rotata. They can use the Martinovi baraki chail lift and the lifts Rila, Iglika and Rotata.

After the cold weather in the last few days Borosport managed to produce enough artificial snow and to provide a stable base of the slopes that will guarantee excellent snow conditions throughout the season. The natural snowfall also was helpful and Borovets can now please the winter sports fans with the news that whole ski area will be open with perfect slopes.

On Saturday, during the whole day there will be music in the resort, and the ski instructors from the Borosport ski school will give free ski lessons for beginners in front of the Rila Hotel (after a pre-booking in the office of the ski school in front of the Rila Hotel, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am). At 5:45 pm on the ski slope Martinovi Baraki 2 will start the traditional ski instructors fire show, which will mark the beginning of a truly unforgettable winter season.

The freeriders will be able to enjoy their first downhill rides, but from Borosport are warning that the snow cover is still quite thin and they should be very careful.
