‘Petar Popangelov and friends for Borovets’ Foundation

In 2016 ‘Petar Popangelov and friends for Borovets’ Foundation was established with the aim to support the development of the winter sports amongst the children and young people in Samokov and the region. The Bulgarian ski legend Petar Popangelov is the honorary patron of the Foundation.

The Foundation provides support to many events and activities dedicated to the future ski and snowboard champions of Bulgaria. The first ones – the First round of the Regional Championship and the Ski Race ‘120 years Borovets’ - took place in December 2016, gathering more than 50 children from the region.

The fundraising campaign for the Foundation started during the big celebration for the 120^th anniversary of Borovets on 17th December 2016 when 40 thousand BGN were donated by Borosport from the sales of lift passes for the day.

In addition, all profit from the sales of children lift passes during the World Snow Day on 14th January 2017, amounting to 700 BGN, were also donated by Borosport to the Foundation.

AUDI Bulgaria also joined the initiative with sponsorship of one thousand BGN.

During the season Borosport continues the fundraising campaigns by organising various events and looking for new partnership opportunities.
