With each passing year, ridin off the groomed slopes is becoming more and more popular. The slopes around the ski areas in Borovets provide a great opportunity to practice freeride skiing and snowboarding. Around the 3 ski centers in the resort there are challenging forest and open terrains, even for more experienced riders.
